Laid back day

The park near our apartment in dowtown Odessa.

It's Saturday here and we have the day off. We relaxed, took in some sites, visited with our new friends the O'Hares. We are enjoying the weather here. It is low 70's and sunny. They have elections tomorrow for a new parliament. They had a very loud live concert in the square last night. There was a motor cycle rally in the street this afternoon. It is very busy here in the downtown area. Tomorrow we will go to church with Michelle in the morning and be able to meet some of the orphans that will be attending with the Becker's.

Prayer: please keep praying for Vitalik's sister to agree with the adoption, a quick appointment for us next week, Joshua and Lauren that they are at peace, content and for protection over all the families adopting and our families back in the States.

Thanks for praying and blessings to all our friends and family,

Jeri

Hang in there and know that we are praying for you. We may not always understand all the twists and turns God takes us on, but remember He is in control!

We are praying for God speed and your safety as you travel to Kiev and back.

Did you read your email and read about our good news?

Jeri & Charles,
Lauren and Katie had a great day together today. They rode in a pink limosine, had their hair done in an 'upswept do', and did some 'stunting' with the head coach from Elite Cheer (at the grand opening of Sweet & Sassy at Shadow Lake Towne Center). They also played with Addie for awhile, played with Lexi (classmate of Katie that lives behind us), had a shower (and much needed hair washing), and are sleeping soundly. Did I mention that Lauren is staying overnight tonight, also? She's going to church with us tomorrow morning and will probably go back to the Franks late tomorrow afternoon. Laura has been very accomodating. She put together a little bag of church clothes for Lauren to wear tomorrow . . . so we are good to go!
Hope all is going well with you guys. God is guiding everything, so if it's meant to be, it will be!

P.S. I got lots of pictures from today!

Jeri,
The pictures of the park are beautiful! This park was still under construction when we were in Odessa. I am glad that you are trying too absorb and enjoy the culture while you have spare time.

I showed Yuri the picture of Dr. Paul and Vitalik. Yuri says he is a "good boy" and that he does remember him. It can be very hard waiting and wondering if the sister will give her permission. If you would like to have the sister talk to Yuri's brother send me an email and I will send you his cell phone number. FYI...We let Yuri call his brother (via Skype) once a week. So, if the sister has access to a telephone, you maybe able to let her know that they will be able to communicate.

I am praying that God will refresh you this Sunday and that your trip to Kiev on Monday will be smooth and successful!

Renee
